Emerging Scholar in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award
The Industry Studies Association (ISA) invites nominations (including self-nominations) for the annual Emerging Scholar in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award. The award is supported by the generosity of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and seeks to recognize an early or mid-career industry studies scholar conducting exceptional research in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship. As is consistent with Industry Studies work generally, it is expected that the work of the award winner will demonstrate significant personal investment in understanding the markets, firms, and institutions of an industry and will frequently involve the integration of direct observation through field based research with appropriate theory and analysis. The award is accompanied by a $1000 honorarium.
To nominate a deserving industry studies scholar for this award, please submit a nominating letter, a current CV, and a recent piece of scholarship highlighting work that is relevant to the study of innovation and entrepreneurship from an industry studies perspective. As part of the nominating letter, please include evidence of activity in the Industry Studies Association – attendance at meetings, participation in panels, or participation in other activities of the Association. Nomination packages are due by March 2, 2019. Winners will be notified and will be asked to register and commit to attend the annual conference by early April 2019.
